Operation is straightforward and efficient: the bundled IceCap EVO-400 utility pump sits submersed inside the tank, delivering up to 105 GPH of water directly into the scrubber's internal spray bar. This water trickles down a heavily textured, laser-roughened mesh growing screen that is lit from both sides by high-efficiency photoperiod grow lights. As the algae mat matures, it acts like a sponge, pulling dissolved inorganic nitrogen and orthophosphates straight out of the water column. Scraping the screen clean every 1 to 3 weeks permanently extracts these bound pollutants from your system.
