4-Stage RO/DI System for Reef, Saltwater, and Freshwater Aquariums
The IceCap 75 GPD RO/DI System is a four-stage water filtration unit that produces purified water suitable for reef, saltwater, and freshwater aquariums. It connects to a standard cold water supply line and operates on household water pressure with no pump or power source required. At 75 gallons per day output, it is the entry-level model in the IceCap RO/DI line and is well suited to hobbyists with smaller systems who fill or top off regularly.
The system filters water through four stages in sequence. Stage 1 is a 5-micron IceCap polypropylene sediment filter that removes particulates and suspended solids that would foul the membrane. Stage 2 is a 5-micron IceCap carbon block filter that removes chlorine, chloramines, and organic compounds that degrade RO membrane performance. Stage 3 is the Dow Filmtec BW60-1812-75 reverse osmosis membrane, rated at 96 to 99% typical salt rejection at 50 PSI. Stage 4 is a refillable mixed-bed DI resin cartridge that polishes RO permeate to near-zero TDS. The color-changing resin transitions from dark to light as capacity is exhausted, giving a clear visual indicator of when refilling is needed.
The system includes an auto shut-off valve, a manual flush flow restrictor, a glycerin-filled pressure gauge, and all installation fittings and tubing.
