The IceCap Carbon Infused Filter Pad (SKU: IC-CBP) is an authentic, multi-tier water-polishing sheet distributed by CoralVue to streamline chemical and mechanical maintenance across freshwater, marine reef, and pond environments. In a closed aquatic ecosystem, free-floating particles—like fish waste, uneaten food flakes, and floating plant decay—cloud the water column and degrade total light penetration. Over time, these trapped organics break down into harmful dissolved nutrients. While standard polyester pads handle larger fragments, they let finer molecular discoloration, yellowing acids, and tank odors pass completely unhindered. The IC-CBP bridges this gap by infusing pulverized active carbon deep into a rigid, non-reactive fibrous web.

Measuring 10 by 18 inches, this heavy-duty pad completely eliminates the need for expensive, pre-shaped proprietary filter replacements. Its thin, flexible, yet structurally sound profile allows you to cut out custom configurations to fit wet/dry trickle trays, external canister filter baskets, hang-on-back power filters, modular media cups, or open sump baffles. As water streams through the dense network of fibers, the mechanical grid isolates large and micro-particulates, while the embedded activated carbon locks down dissolved toxins, yellowing pigments, and fishy odors on contact. Pliable and long-lasting, it serves as an excellent chemical security blanket for maintaining immaculate, odor-free, and crystal-clear water.
