While a standard RO membrane successfully strips away roughly 95% to 98% of incoming tap water tap impurities, trace levels of highly volatile ions—such as silicates, nitrates, and phosphates—frequently sneak past the barrier. If left unchecked, these residual compounds quickly build up in your aquarium, feeding aggressive nuisance hair algae blooms and obstructing coral calcification. The IC-DIDFC stops these breakthrough contaminants by providing two consecutive stages of targeted deionization polishing.

This pre-plumbed unit is constructed with two heavy-duty, high-impact clear canisters mounted to a rugged steel bracket.
